Children's Poems

I cannot remember ever reading a children’s poem that left me down-hearted. All the poems I read promote a positive attitude. Some promote thinking outside the box, like Who Has Seen the Wind by Christina Rossetti or Like a Bug by Aileen Fisher. Some promote Christianity such as The Moon:
I see the moon,
And the moon sees me.
God bless the moon,
And God bless me.
Mostly, however, I’ve found that they are just fun. Many of these fun poems are about animals and their peculiar habits, children and their fun things to play, or good magical creatures. My favorite poems are the fun ones. I thoroughly enjoy myself while reading these poems.
