When Wishes Come True (continued 2)

1. When Wishes Come True (Continued 2)
As Chelsea went downstairs to get Charlie some lettuce, she was trying to figure out a way to convince her mom to let Charlie stay. Chelsea had never had a pet before, and now that she finally got one, she wanted to keep him! Charlie was, however, a little different than most pets. Chelsea opened the refrigerator to search for some lettuce when her mother walked into the kitchen. When she saw that Chelsea was holding lettuce, she said, “Chelsea, what are you doing? You don’t like lettuce.”
“Well…” Chelsea replied, “I do now!” Chelsea ran back up the stairs before her mother could say another word. “Here you go,” Chelsea told Charlie as she handed him the lettuce.”
“Thank you!” Charlie exclaimed.
“Now I have to patch up the holes in these blankets. I can’t have my dollies sleeping underneath holey blankets!” Chelsea went into her mom and dad’s room to the sewing cabinet. Just as Chelsea was pulling out the scissors, thread, pin cushion, and scraps of fabric, her mother came into the room.
“Chelsea,” she questioningly said, “what are you going to sew? You don’t like sewing!”
“Um…. I do now!” Chelsea declared. She ran back to her room to start working on her blankets to find Charlie finished eating his lettuce, and now thirsty for milk. “I’ll go get you some milk, just one second.” Poor Chelsea went back downstairs to the kitchen to get Charlie some milk. Just as she put the milk back into refrigerator, her mother came into the kitchen and saw the bowl of milk.
“Chelsea,” she said, “what are you doing with milk? You only like milk in your cereal!”
“Well, I like milk now!” and she dashed up the stairs.

To be continued.
