A Thought

This little verse from A Child’s Garden of Verses is very intriguing to me.

It is nice to think
The world is full of meat and drink,
With little children saying grace
In every Christian kind of place.

This collection of verses is not from every child. It seems to me that most of them are from children who are privileged, if not with money then by good parenting. From all the illustrations and words, the children appear that they are loved and cared for. I was one of these children. I was raised in a Christian home where I had plenty of meat and drink and was taught to pray at a very young age. I feel that if a child is not loved and cared for, he or she will usually not have the bright imagination to use and tools to help it grow.
