Miss Nelson is Missing by Harry Allard and James Marshall
I have always been a respectful student. I’ve even been called a teacher’s pet. This may be just because I was extremely shy until the eleventh grade, so it’s hard for me to relate directly to Miss Nelson’s students. However, I do remember Mrs. Sanders. She was the substitute teacher who got everyone’s attention. She was a retired teacher, so she came from the old school where children got paddled instead of in school suspension, which some students see as a break instead of a punishment. She would yell us if we were bad, and her threats were real. She has definitely left an impression on my memory; I wonder what kind of impression she left on the bad kids.
