Ella Enchanted

This blog will go along with the one I posted yesterday. I was complaining about how frail some of the female characters are in fairytales; Ella is definitely not frail. She has backbone and knows how to take care of herself even when she is almost powerless. I loved it when I found her getting revenge on Hattie by stealing her wig and making her smell the scent in the bouquet that made her tell the truth. She handled ending her friendship with Areida very well and was heroic when she wrote to Prince Charmonte about her false elopement. She was very smart; she learned languages like they were nothing and was able to control Hattie a little bit when it should have been the other way around. If I were ever to choose a fairytale princess to be, I would choose Ella from Ella Enchanted.
