Lindsey: Hi, Ella! Tell me, how are you doing today?
Ella: Terrible.
Lindsey: Terrible? Why? Tell me what happened.
Ella: Well, my stranger-of-a-father is sending me to finishing school with my evil stepsisters.
Lindsey: You’re right, that is terrible. You’ve got to tell me why he married that woman.
Ella: She’ll do whatever he wants her to do, including support us – I mean him – financially.
Lindsey: So you’ll be glad to get away from her.
Ella: Oh yes, of course! The moment I leave her will be wonderful! I’ll be so glad!
Lindsey: So where is this finishing school?
Ella: The next town.
Lindsey: Oh! Are you taking the fairy route?
Ella: Yes, I am actually.
Lindsey: Don’t take that one, take the majestic route, even if it costs you an arm and a leg, take that one. The road is so much smoother. You won’t sleep a wink on the fairy route, it’s so rough.
And so Ella lost an arm and a leg.
